This year's weather chart for Software (S/W) export is sunnier than any years.
In this year, many domestic S/W companies are going to have S/W "made in Korea" confirmed against world-class companies in the U.S. market of the S/W home country and to enter Japanese Market that is notorious for being most difficult to please around the world. Centering on China, which is another emerging S/W market, it is expected that South Korean S/W will sweep the pan-Asian region including Southeast and central Asia.
Thus, the prospect is the new year of 2007 will be recorded as the first year of
South Korean Software Globalization.
- S/W enters the U.S. market = One of the largest S/W companies in South Korea, TmaxSoft (C.E.O. KIM Byeong-guk), selected the U.S.A. as its strategic market while preparing itself for entering the world market on a full scale. It is because when S/W is successfully tested in the U.S. market, the country of S/W, its product power as well as company reliability will enable their S/W to go into any markets.
President KIM of TmaxSoft explained their plans to "first introduce our strategic products including framework to the U.S. market and to have their product power confirmed through severe competition with world-class companies."
A leading X-Internet company, TOBESOFT (C.E.O. KIM Hyung-Gon), is preparing to enter the U.S. and European markets in the new year, following Japanese market in last year. With vigorous support of Intel Capital that made a substantial investment in TOBESOFT, the company has been working to enter into partnership with the prominent PC and SW manufactures in the United States. In the end of last year, it also participated in an unofficial event for Intel's global partners.
President KIM of TOBESOFT emphasized "in the area of X-Internet, domestic S/W stands up to comparison with any foreign products. We will direct all our energies to marketing in the United States and increasing the level of international recognition.
